Brief Background: Ed Ishmael is the owner and closing attorney here at Midtown. Ed graduated with Honors at the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Education and then attended Texas Tech University School of Law, where he was also on the Law Review. He then moved to Dallas, where he worked with Vial, Hamilton, Koch, and Knox in their fidelity and surety section. Then he was hired by Baker and McKenzie, at that time the world’s largest law firm, where Ed practiced international business litigation and insurance defense for ten years. In 1998, he started a real estate title operation in Dallas that spread to Austin in 2006. In 2009, Ed opened Ishmael Law Firm, P.C., and has transformed it into what it is today!
